CLOTHING/ACCESSORIES WE DO NOT ACCEPT

Go through your closets and find any items that no longer fit, were never 'quite right', a color you don't like or styles/fabrics that were just fashion mistakes for who you are! Next inspect your items for excess wear, stains, spots, tears or other problems. There are so many clothes in the world people - and sometimes we feel like we are brought most of them! Be picky because our customers are! Those items that pass inspection should be placed in one pile and those that don't in another for donation. Next, go through the items that passed your first inspection and weed out anything that falls into these categories, placing it in your donation pile:

• Clothing not clean and VERY well pressed (wrinkles do not 'hang out') and NOT ON HANGERS

• Over two years in age (clothing labels change with great frequency and we train our staff to recognize garments age by the labels)

• Soiled (check under arms and back side of sleeves, flip collars open and inspect the neck line etc)/faded/stained

• Wrinkled/'tired'

• Loose costume jewelry (uncarded costume earrings and pins etc.)

• Ski wear

• Goes with' belts/accessories

• Out of Season (Our acceptance seasons areSpring/Summer March 1 - August 31 and Fall/Winter September 1 - February 28th)

• Wedding/prom attire

• Missing buttons/belts/ties

• Home-made/altered

• Vintage, monogrammed/logo/resort/souvenir

• Dyed to match shoes/purses

• Men's suits and unlabeled slacks

• Used or new without the original tags adult swimwear/under garments/socks/sleepwear

• Budget or private label brands (K-Mart/Wal-Mart/Target etc.) Examples are: Kathie Lee, Jacqlyn Smith, Route 66, No Boundaries, Circo, Bentley, White Stag, Bobbie Brooks, Garanimals, Knightsbridge, Mossimo, etc.
